This Privacy Policy explains how PromptBucket collects, uses, shares, and retains information when you use our website, accounts, creator tools, and community features (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information we collect

• Account information: when you sign in with Google, we receive identifiers and basic profile details authorized by you, such as your name, email address, avatar, and Google account ID. We do not receive your Google password.
• Profile and content: usernames, biographies, prompts, images, videos, comments, ratings, saves, follows, and other information you choose to submit.
• Usage and device information: pages viewed, interactions, referring pages, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device details, diagnostics, and timestamps.
• Communications: information you send when requesting support, reporting content, or contacting us.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide and personalize the Service; authenticate accounts; publish and organize content according to your choices; support discovery, social, and creator features; understand usage; diagnose problems; prevent abuse and fraud; enforce our Terms of Service; communicate with you; and comply with legal obligations.

3. Public information

Public profiles and posts are visible to anyone and may be indexed by search engines or shared outside PromptBucket. Your interactions with public content, such as comments or creator attribution, may also be public. Review content before publishing it and use available visibility controls where offered.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use browser storage, cookies, and similar technologies to maintain authenticated sessions, remember preferences, protect the Service, and measure usage. Your browser can limit cookies, but essential account features may then stop working.

5. Service providers and disclosures

We use service providers to operate the Service, including Supabase for authentication, database, and storage infrastructure; Google for sign-in; Vercel for hosting and delivery; and PostHog for product analytics when analytics is enabled. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices and only for the functions they provide to us.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate abuse or security incidents, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

6. Data retention

We retain information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the Service. We may retain limited information longer for backups, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and enforcement. Retention periods depend on the type of information and why it is held.

7. Your choices and rights

You may update available profile details and delete content through the Service. You can disconnect PromptBucket from your Google account through Google's settings. You may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity, and applicable law may provide exceptions or additional rights.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including provider-based authentication and access controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so you should protect access to your sign-in provider and promptly report suspected unauthorized use.

9. International processing

PromptBucket and its providers may process information in countries other than your own. Data protection laws in those locations may differ. Where required, we rely on recognized safeguards for cross-border processing.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children who cannot lawfully consent. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.

11. Policy changes

We may update this Policy as the Service or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice for material changes where reasonably practical.
